2 months

Well.... I have been a little busy around here.  I haven't been keeping up on your updates like I should.   You turned 2 months old on July 27.
You are starting to sit (with assistance) and has grown so much.  At your 2 month checkup, which involved getting three shots (you didn't like that at all) we found out that you weigh 10 pounds 12 ounces, which is the same as your 6 week checkup and you are now 22 3/4 inches long.  Both of which are in the 50th percentile.

This month has been so fun for all of us!  You have started to smile.  Usually you like to play with mom and dad in the morning and in the evenings.  During our play times you smile a lot and you like making the "g" sound.  You will say it and then we will say it back to you and your eyes get so wide and you smile really big.  This has been so much fun!

You have been playing a lot on your play mat and we have you in your undies a lot because it has been a super hot summer.  On August 2, 2011 it was the hottest it has been in 75 years..... 112 degrees.  You and I stayed inside all day.  Other than the hottest day, it has been a hot summer with over 20 days (not in a row because some days would be 99 degrees) were over 100 degrees.  So as much as you like to go outside, we have had to stay inside more than you would like.  We got out side early in the morning and late at night.

You really like looking out the window and looking at lights.  You think ceiling fans are the COOLEST!  You have started sitting in your swing, but you aren't sure about it yet.  Towards the end of July and early August you have been sleeping all through the night :)  Which makes mom very HAPPY!  You usually take a bath around 8pm have a bottle and then will go to sleep around 9pm to 9:30pm.  Then you sleep through the night and you don't wake up till 5AM.  Some nights you will wake up around 2AM or 3AM but then will sleep till 7AM.  You are drinking about 8-12 4 oz bottles a day.  Some days, you will drink a lot more than that and will hardly take any naps during the day.  Then a couple of days later you will sleep most of the day.  Your body is still trying to get use to everything.  When we put you in your crib you scoot with your feet, while laying on your back, to the end of the crib and snuggle next to the side of the crib.

We love you so very much!!  Love mom and dad
